Motorola is giving us a closer look at its upcoming Motorola Razr Fold. The company is slowly sharing details about the phone’s battery, thickness, and durability. I got an early hands-on at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ahead of its North American debut this summer.
Bigger Screens Than Competitors
The Motorola Razr Fold will feature a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.1-inch internal screen. This makes it slightly larger than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
Even with its slightly bigger size, the phone feels sleek and easy to hold. The external screen is perfect for texting, scrolling, or quickly checking notifications. When opened, you can multitask with up to three apps at once.
This makes the Motorola Razr Fold practical for everyday tasks while keeping a premium feel. Its design balances style and usability, similar to other top foldable phones.
Sleek Yet Solid Build
The phone measures 4.6mm thick when open and 9.9mm thick when closed, weighing 243 grams. This puts it right between Samsung and Google foldables. In hand, it feels smooth and comfortable.
Motorola has also focused on durability. The Motorola Razr Fold comes with IP48 and IP49 ratings. This means it can survive a meter of water for 30 minutes and handle high water pressure. However, it is not dust-resistant like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
It will also be the first phone with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover, offering strong protection while keeping a premium look.
Impressive Cameras
The Motorola Razr Fold packs a triple 50-megapixel rear camera system. For selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel camera on the cover and a 20-megapixel camera inside.
Whether you are taking quick snaps outside or video calling, the cameras provide sharp, clear images. This setup is great for people who love photography or social media sharing.
Massive Battery and Fast Charging
One of the most exciting features of the Motorola Razr Fold is its large 6,000-mAh battery. This is much bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 4,400-mAh battery.
It also supports 80-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging. This means less waiting and more time using your phone. Whether you stream videos, play games, or work on multiple apps, the battery should last all day.
Powerful Performance
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It boosts speed, efficiency, and AI features. Apps run smoothly, and multitasking feels easy.
Motorola promises seven years of software and security updates. This ensures your phone stays secure and up-to-date for a long time.
Stylish Colors and Materials
The Motorola Razr Fold comes in two colors:
- Pantone Blackened Blue – textured back for a strong, stylish feel.
- Pantone Lily White – smooth and matte for a classic look.
Both have vegan-leather backs, adding a luxurious touch while reducing fingerprints.
Price and Availability
Motorola hasn’t revealed the price yet. They plan to share more details closer to the summer launch.
The Motorola Razr Fold looks like a strong competitor in the foldable phone market. It combines a sleek design, a huge battery, and useful features, making it appealing to both tech fans and everyday users.
